CDW is seeking a commercially minded data-driven Head of Talent Centre of Excellence to provide strategic leadership to our Talent Learning & Development teams. A pivotal role in the HR Senior Leadership team this position will be accountable for driving Talent best practice owning workforce and demand planning strategy leading on the development of talent acquisition onboarding coworker performance management and leadership development whilst adapting global CoE playbooks across our UK and International teams.

What you will do

Talent Excellence

  • Own and deliver the Talent strategy proactively identifying and implementing ways to improve the coworker and candidate experience and business adoption across all areas of the talent landscape.
  • Own and deliver the strategic workforce and demand planning strategy working in partnership with the Head of the HR Business Partners to help the business to proactively identify future workforce needs and implement solutions to ensure organisational agility and long-term success.
  • Monitor internal and external talent trends to align to market best practice and influence business priorities.
  • Use talent analytics to guide decision-making measure impact and continuously refine the talent approach.
  • Lead on UK&I leadership and coworker leaning and development aligning with the global playbook and enterprise strategy to create and implement key learning programmes and facilitate regional team upskilling
  • Oversee UK&I performance management and Talent review Process including succession planning ensuring a high-quality consistent experience and meaningful outcomes for our coworkers and business leaders.
  • Utilise data and AI tools to identify the future skills required to future proof the business and ensure CDWs ongoing success.
  • Lead the development of our talent attraction brand strategy positioning the organisation as a destination for top-tier skills aligned with our business priorities.
  • Oversee the end-to-end Talent Acquisition and Onboarding process ensuring a seamless high-quality experience that reflects our values and delivers exceptional engagement for all candidates and new hires.
  • Align with the Global Talent strategy to ensure UK&I adoption feeding back business requirements prioritising requests for improvements and influencing the agenda.
  • Accountable for the management of key vendors ensuring performance is actively managed and service is optimised to deliver ROI for CDW.
  • Drive and support change initiatives across the HR function contributing to transformation projects that improve processes and outcomes.

Governance risk management & compliance

  • Create and maintain all talent and performance policies in line with best practice reviewing regularly to ensure accuracy is maintained.
  • Responsible for the Talent CoE budget working with finance to ensure budget is within agreed targets.
  • Accountable for driving D&I activities and reporting including gender and ethnicity pay gap reporting.
  • Ensure service delivery is maintained within agreed SLAs and KPIs where applicable.

Stakeholder management & collaboration

  • Deputise for the Director of HR on Talent initiatives as required.
  • Build key relationships across the business using your influencing skills to gain buy-in and drive change.
  • Drive and support change initiatives across the HR function contributing to transformation projects that improve processes and outcomes collaborating with other teams as needed.
  • Partner with HR Shared Services (HRSS) to ensure seamless administration and delivery of learning programmes and Onboarding activities aligning operational processes and supporting the effective deployment of learning initiatives across the UK&I region

Team leadership & development

  • Lead a team of approximately twenty coworkers including Talent Acquisition Learning & Development and Talent.
  • Focus on team wellbeing role modelling CDW values.
  • Create a high-performance culture connecting with the team to energise inspire and motivate.
  • Develop and coach your team to enhance capability ensuring SMART goals that drive delivery against the People Strategy are in place for all.

What we expect of you

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Talent management role ideally within a global sales-driven organisation.
  • Exceptional commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
  • Demonstrate strategic portfolio leadership by managing a diverse range of talent initiatives ensuring alignment with business priorities and maximising impact across all talent domains.
  • Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to influence at all levels and create a narrative to secure business buy-in and adoption
  • Demonstrated success in working cross-functionally and globally to align talent strategies with business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of digital HR tools and emerging AI technologies to enhance talent processes and analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making influence stakeholders and improve the coworker experience.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Proven capability to develop leaders and teams through structured coaching mentoring and learning programs.
  • Commitment to creating inclusive engaging experiences that prioritise employee wellbeing and growth.

Preferred skills experience and qualities needed.

  • Experience with Workday and other HR systems.
  • Excel and data visualisation skills
