Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Soil Characterization Intern with a technical background (engineering geology or related discipline) who will be involved in the planning and organization of environmental investigation on different sites all over Italy with a strong focus on Health&Safety management.
Role accountabilities:
- Supporting the Project Manager in planning and organizing environmental soil investigations for sites in different market sectors (Energy Logistics Industrial);
- Dealing with field geologists and subcontractors on site;
- Preparing the preliminary safety documentation for the site activities according to national legislation;
- Preparing the preliminary Clients permits/certifications requested for the site activities according to their internal quality management system;
- Engaging with the Clients H&S people to ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements;
- Collaborating in the preparation of final investigation technical reports.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Engineering Geology Environmental Sciences or equivalent qualification;
- Basic knowledge of environmental regulations (.152/06) and workplace safety laws (. 81/08);
- Genuine interest in safety management;
- Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks;
- Strong interpersonal verbal and written skills;
- Proficiency in MS Office suite;
- Excellent language level in Italian and English (B2 or above).
Work Location: Milan (hybrid)
Contract Type: Internship 40-hours work week.
