The Position
Data Scientist
As a Data Scientist you will be responsible for delivering high quality outcomes by applying the right fit-for purpose solutions in collaboration with other stakeholders and team members within the same business line.

The Opportunity
As a Data Scientist you will be expected to
Apply fit-for-purpose methods and implement analytics and processing algorithms.
Onboard data into Snowflake and additional database systems; implement data loads and data analysis; backend development in dbt SQL and Python.
Operationalize models leveraging AWS services and design optimal architectures for data science projects in AWS.
Support projects independently partnering with business stakeholders to ensure business needs are met; collaborate with Roche colleagues globally across all timezones.
Build and strengthen relationships with other departments/groups across Roche to identify synergies and streamline redundancies; create and manage documentation for different data science / data engineering projects.
Collaborate in an agile and cross-functional team with other Data Scientists Data Engineers Automation experts as well as business experts so our Roche peers and patients will receive AMAZING solutions; perform demos project reviews and retrospectives; communicate ideas for team Analytics & Automation and willingly receive feedback for self-improvement.
Participate in exploratory projects to evaluate new technologies and establish new services; embrace fast iterations lean documentation and planning close alignment to our colleagues from business and IT and close communication across global teams.
Who You Are
Youre someone who wants to influence your own development. Youre looking for a company where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are but the starting point.
Education: Bachelor Degree (Masters is a plus) in mathematics computer science statistics engineering or information science.
2-5 years of relevant experience ideally in a multicultural environment with global processes (Commercial Finance Procurement Supply Chain IT).
First professional work experience in designing and developing data flows and ETL processes using modern storage solutions (e.g. Snowflake AWS Redshift SAP BW4) and applying advanced statistical methods and complex algorithms to real-world data.
Professional work experience in at least one of the following languages: SQL/dbt Python.
Strong team player with interpersonal skills and a collaborative solution-focused mindset; strong communication and networking skills; enjoys working with others and acts as a team player.
Solid experience with stakeholder management.
English is a must; additional languages are a plus.

Salary starts from 2300 EUR gross/monthly. Final salary depends on the successful candidates level of experience skills and qualifications.
