As the Community Engagement Specialist you will coordinate community engagement activities partnership contracts collaboration with culturally diverse King County audiences and communication of complex political and often emotional topics. You will also collaborate with staff to ensure community engagement is integrated across all OLEO programs. OLEO provides independent oversight of the King County Sheriffs Office. We conduct objective reviews and independent investigations and make evidence-based policy recommendations that are guided by the community and rooted in equity.

ABOUT THE POSITION
This position is open to all qualified applicants. Acceptable proof of identity and authorization to work in the United States are required by federal immigration law.
This position is a salaried at-will overtime-exempt classification that is not eligible for the county Career Service system. The standard workweek is 35 hours. Non-traditional work hours and travel throughout King County may occasionally be required.

TELEWORKING
The work associated with this position will be performed predominantly in a hybrid work environment working in the office and at home. Employees must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance of their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
