$22.90 - $34.35JOB SUMMARY
Under departmental direction the data collector coordinates activities to support the Head Kinematics in Sports Study. Provides assistance to an established research team by collecting data keeping records analyzing data and preparing and maintains recordkeeping systems and procedures to ensure compliance with study protocols and all appropriate regulations. Visit data collection sites as needed to perform activities including but not limited to: assist the research team with recruitment activities (screen and consent) administer questionnaires collecting kinematic data and answer any questions about the research study. Responsible for the compilation registration and submission of data as required by the is required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Social Science Education or Public Health; or an equivalent combination of experience and education including training in research methodology computerized data processing and/or interviewing techniques.
LICENSURE CERTIFICATION and/or REGISTRATION
Must complete the CITI certification for Human Subject Research if not already completed. All additional required WakeOne training for research coordinators.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills
Excellent reading comprehension
Strong organizational skills
Outgoing professional persistent and familiar and open to working in the hospital environment
Familiar with data collection tools (i.e. RedCap) and experienced with Microsoft Powerpoint Excel and Word
A background in nursing engineering or other health-related field
Comfortable communicating with physicians engineers coaches team owners etc.
A person that practices with a critical thinking approach and is not afraid to point out to a superior (senior engineer) that something doesnt look right
Willing to perform data entry tasks over long periods of time during the day
