Earth Tech Enterprises is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Estimator/Site Development Estimator to support our growing Heavy Civil division in Southwest Florida. This role prepares accurate competitive bids for civil construction and sitework projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid packages for civil construction and site development projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs from civil drawings blueprints and specifications
- Estimate and price labor equipment materials subcontractors and trucking
- Develop budgets and analyze production rates construction methods and project sequencing
- Review bid documents plans and specifications to identify scope gaps and risk
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals
- Participate in pre-bid meetings bid reviews and project turnover to operations
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams during preconstruction
Project Experience May Include
- Mass grading and earthwork
- Underground utilities (water sewer storm drainage)
- Roadway construction and site infrastructure
- Drainage systems and stormwater management
- Concrete flatwork curb & gutter retaining walls
- Commercial and residential site development
Qualifications
- 3 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction or site development
- Strong knowledge of earthwork grading and underground utility construction
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans blueprints and bid documents
- Experience with estimating software (such as HCSS Viewpoint HeavyBid Procore or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail organization and communication skills
