We currently employ around 230 people at our site in Mainz-Hechtsheim. Founded in 1994 as DILAS Diodenlaser GmbH the company quickly established itself as a major manufacturer of high-power diode lasers. At its two locations in Mainz and Freiburg DILAS develops and produces high-power diode laser components and systems with a wide range of power levels and wavelengths. DILAS has been part of the Coherent Group since November 2016.
We are looking for a Process Engineer Semiconductor Packaging & Diode Laser (m/f/d) for our research and development department to start as soon as possible.
Job Description
- Develop and optimize interconnection processes (e.g. soldering wire bonding) for semiconductor devices including equipment support
- Select suitable materials and processes for electrical and thermal interconnections
- Conduct feasibility studies and process validations
- Analyze reliability and lifetime of interconnection technologies
- Collaborate with internal development production and quality teams as well as external suppliers
- Document processes and prepare technical specifications
Your Profile
- Degree in microsystems engineering materials science or a comparable field
- Experience in interconnection technologies for semiconductors or optoelectronic components
- Knowledge of thermal and mechanical stress analysis
- Experience with cleanroom processes and automated manufacturing systems is an advantage.
- Confident use of project management methods
- High analytical skills and problem-solving competence
- Good planning organizational and prioritization skills
- Proactive structured and independent way of working
