The Opportunity
The UAx Platform Intern role is a great opportunity for anyone curious about international collaboration in higher arts education arts and cultural heritage and cultural management. Working at the intersection of advocacy and project coordination you will help keep the UAx Platform running smoothly supporting clear communication across partners reliable logistics accurate documentation and reporting and visible well-delivered project outcomes. This internship is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive person who is looking for practical experience in project coordination and communication while gaining insight into arts and education sector in Ukraine and internationally.
You will work closely with the UAx Platform Manager UAx Platform Coordinator and ELIAs broader team contributing to the day-to-day implementation of UAx activities. Your responsibilities will include supporting partner and participant coordination maintain clear project documentation and assist with communication and dissemination through ELIA channels.
This role is particularly suitable for a bilingual (Ukrainian/English) intern with strong writing and communication skills in both languages.

About UAx Platform
UAx Platform is a community uniting higher arts education institutions from Ukraine and across the EU UK and USA fostering collaboration and networks of solidarity among ELIA members. Launched in November 2022 with generous support from the Abakanowicz Arts and Culture Charitable Foundation (AACCF) UAx helps war-affected students and strengthens the resilience of arts universities during war and recovery. Since 2022 it has grown into an international network for resilience solidarity community and capacity building. UAx supports Ukrainian art students and institutions through a scholarship and mentorship programme a sister schools partnership programme and ELIAs expanded network. The newly funded UAxEU project (2026-2028) under Creative Europe will expand its work advancing cross-sectoral cooperation capacity building and post-war recovery.
Tasks and responsibilities
Support day-to-day coordination of UAx activities in collaboration with the UAx team and partner institutions.
Assist with planning and organisation of online and in-person activities including participant coordination and logistics (incl. travel and accommodation for Ukrainian participants)
Assist with onboarding and participant support (sharing practical information answering basic questions ensuring smooth communication).
Assist with the launch and set up of the UAx Abakanowicz Fellowship for Ukrainian students.
Draft project-related content in English and Ukrainian by gathering stories and short inputs from participants and partners to support visibility of project outcomes (in collaboration with the ELIA communications team).
Assist with dissemination of UAx activities and outcomes through ELIA channels and social media (in collaboration with the ELIA communications team).
Assist with financial reimbursements tracking and collecting required documentation (in line with ELIA procedures).
Skills and competencies
Higher education qualification (up to 2-year graduates) or current enrolment in Social Sciences Education Arts Management International Development or a related field
Bilingual proficiency in Ukrainian and English with excellent writing skills in both languages.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks across multiple parallel activities.
Self-motivated proactive with strong attention to detail and critical mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.).
Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across different national and cultural contexts.
Interest in contributing to the development of tools for educational resilience in crisis situations.
Previous experience in arts education or cultural projects is an asset.
