Job Summary

Pape-Dawson is currently seeking a Professional Land Surveyor / Project Surveyor for our Orlando FL office.
This position leads and manages land surveying projects as well as the Land Survey staff.
Responsibilities
- Supervise coordinate and review activities and deliverables of field and office staff assigned to various land surveying projects.
- Work closely with engineering staff and clients.
- Provide guidance and direction to the Survey Technicians.
- Manages and schedules individual projects.
- Performs or delegates tasks as assigned by the Survey Department Manager or Survey Project Manager.
- Performs calculations and prepares field packages.
- Processes acquired field data into a neat and accurate plat of survey and/or Metes and Bounds description.
- Responsible for quality control of drawings and legal descriptions prepared by others.
- Resolves boundary line issues.
- Signs and seals completed drawings legal descriptions and surveyors reports.
Qualifications
- Professional Surveyor & Mapper (PSM or PLS).
- 0-4 years as a PLS.
- Must have experience with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys topographic surveys wetland surveys final plat and as-built surveys and construction staking.
- Must have strong research analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project-related budget management and invoicing.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships. - Ability to handle complex issues/problems.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. - Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees in the organization both verbally and written.
- Must be dependable and reliable.
- Must have drafting experience and a team-oriented approach to helping complete final drafting products
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
