Job Summary

Job Description

The Registered Dietitian is the nutrition professional that develops and oversees the implementation of nutrition interventions/prescriptions for patients nutrition diagnosis. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care/interventions and consulting with other members of the health care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Demonstrates Proficiency in Standards of Practice (Nutrition Assessment Nutrition Diagnosis Nutrition Intervention/Plan of Care and Nutrition Monitoring and Evaluation.

  • Demonstrates Proficiency in Standards of Professional Performance (Quality In Practice Competency/Accountability Provisions of Services Application of Research Communication and Applications of Knowledge and Utilization and Management of Resources).

  • Uses Nutrition Care Process (NCP) ADIME-assessment diagnosis intervention monitoring and evaluation for patients nutritional assessment.

  • Performs Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) and documenting clinical criteria to demonstrate patients with malnutrition.

  • Collaborateswith other members of the healthcare team regarding patients nutrition plan of care.

  • Completes yearly department competency and other performance improvement projects as assigned.

  • Uses Evidence Based Practice in patient care.

  • Serves as a preceptor to dietetic interns.

Employee has 90 days from hire to get their secondary state license.

Less than 1 year

Licensed Dietician (KS) - Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services Licensed Dietician (MO) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration Registered Dietitian - Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)

Bachelors Degree
