Position Summary:
The Post-Doctoral Fellow will be part of a large multidisciplinary research team at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) working with collaborators across Australia and internationally. The role focuses on linkage research projects examining strategies to improve the prevention and treatment of opioid dependence as well as the health and social outcomes of people who experience incarceration.
Reporting to a Scientia Professor the Post-Doctoral Fellow will undertake advanced data management and statistical analysis of large complex linked datasets contribute to rigorous study design and ensure high standards of data governance and ethics. The role includes interpreting and communicating research findings leading and contributing to peer-reviewed publications supporting grant development and assisting with the supervision of higher degree research students. The position requires strong project management skills the ability to work independently and a commitment to high-quality policy-relevant research that contributes to improved health outcomes and social impact to meaningful work that advances positive social change across communities.
