Position Summary:
The Coordinator of the Gift Shop has the overall responsibility authority and accountability for successfully managing a profitable business.
Responsibilities
- Directs successful retail management operations of the Gift Shop performs detailed inventories reviews merchandise trends develops inventory accordingly and directs financial management.
- Manages Gift Shop staff and volunteers evaluates employees performance interviews hires and schedules employees provides employee development and delegates responsibility to staff and volunteers.
- Prepares and maintains current reports including productivity daily sales sales tax deposits returned checks and accounts payable.
- Develops and executes promotional calendar for seasonal sales and holiday events.
- Follows policies procedures and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years of retail management buying and supervision experience.
