Job Summary
MEMCO is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to support and strengthen our safety programs across multiple construction job sites. This role works closely with internal teams field employees and client partners (GCs and subcontractors) to ensure compliance with safety standards reduce injuries and promote a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct jobsite safety orientations for new hires (English & Spanish preferred)
- Perform regular safety walks audits and inspections at client job sites
- Investigate incidents injuries and near-misses; prepare reports and corrective actions
- Ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to company safety policies
- Coordinate return-to-work and modified duty programs
- Communicate with clients regarding safety expectations and findings
- Track safety metrics (injury trends EMR impact training records)
- Support safety training programs and toolbox talks
- Assist recruiters and sales teams with safety-related client needs
Qualifications
- 2 years of construction safety experience (staffing industry preferred)
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and construction hazards
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to travel to multiple job sites
