Summary

Provide technical support to the Mechanical Engineering department and other departments when necessary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather data and prepare reports as necessary

• Provide administrative and technical support to Engineering department

• Documentation research and analysis

• Review/Check drawings and update final documentation

• Generate PowerPoint presentation slides for design reviews

• Research/validateparts and develop parts lists

• Generate Engineering Change Notices to release/change drawings and parts lists

• Assistthe department by developing status reporting tools using MS Excel

• Assistother departments when needed

• Must have good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelors degree (or higher level) college/university program majoring in Mechanical Electrical or Industrial Engineering

• Must have completed at least their sophomore year

• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products

• A basic understanding of CAD systems preferred

Preferred Skills

• SolidWorks or similar CAD system

• VBAPythonor other basic programming capabilities

• 3D printing experience

• Have excellent oral and written communication skills

• Willing to learn new procedures and applications

• Be detail-oriented

• Customer service-oriented

• Able to work with minimal supervision

Security Responsibilities

Mustcomplywithall company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials in any form. Shall not divulge any information or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

• Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment

This joboperatesin a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator.
