Job Summary
Role overview
Join our manufacturing team in Warsaw IN as a Precision CNC Grinding Machinist. Youll set up and run grinding operations to produce parts that meet blueprint and work-instruction specifications. This position is assigned to a 3rd shift schedule.
A day in the life
- Set up and operate grinding machines using established procedures and guidelines.
- Prepare workpieces per blueprints and operation sheets; confirm proper tooling and offsets.
- Perform in-process inspection using calipers micrometers height gauges and a comparator; complete AQL-based quality checks per work instructions.
- Troubleshoot and correct dimensional issues; review and approve machine setups completed by other operators.
- Record accurate counts for completed and scrapped parts; complete production paperwork and enter data into the company system.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- Ability to read and use calipers micrometers height gauges and depth micrometers.
- Ability to read blueprints and work operation sheets selecting appropriate machining steps.
- Working knowledge of G-code and M-code.
- Comfort with computers and production data entry.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for 8 hours per day.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed (daily/weekly).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
