This an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team working for a privately owned civil engineering construction company who work within resources local authorities and main roads projects across QLD Northern NSW and remote areas. Led by a team of highly experienced professionals the company ensures personal growth and hands on site-based experience. Being a smaller company you will gain experience on a diverse range of projects with involvement at all stages.
Projects consist of remote roadworks for TMR and local Councils across QLD and NSW. This is a great opportunity for a Project Engineer with exposure and responsibilities towards project management. You will work closely with the PM and Supervisor planning the works managing the crews liaising with the client maintaining commercial toughness assisting with the negotiations and budgets. To be successful you must have a minimum of 3 years delivering civil infrastructure main roads or alike for a civil contractor in similar conditions.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to you:
- Procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers
- Programming and daily planning - tracking and updating project program against contract baseline
- Monitoring Quality Assurance
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients subcontractors and stakeholders
- Preparing financial reports and completing forecasts
- Contract Administration and completing works in accordance with the specifications
- Preparing RFI EOTs and variations as required
- Ensuring Safety and Environmental standards are met
The successful individual must have at least 3 years main roads TMR Council or other relevant civil infrastructure experience. The role offers an excellent initial package based locally in between jobs and the expectation to FIFO or DIDO rosters - this roster will differ (project dependent).
