New Vehicle Sales Manager
Landmark Ford East (Trucks) Inc. a part of the Landmark Automotive Group in Springfield Illinois is a leading automotive dealership dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and a wide selection of quality Ford vehicles for over 50 years. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Vehicle Sales Manager to oversee our new vehicle department and drive profitability. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented leader to join a fast-paced growing organization.
Job Summary:
As the New Vehicle Sales Manager you will be responsible for the overall success of the new truck & SUV department. This includes managing daily operations leading and motivating the sales team sourcing appraising and acquiring inventory and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the General Manager to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:Oversee all aspects of the new vehicle inventory including acquisition preperations pricing merchandising and display.
- Sales Strategy:Develop and implement effective sales plans and processes to drive growth increase profitability and meet sales goals.
- Team Leadership:Lead coach train and motivate the sales team to ensure high performance and compliance with dealership policies.
- Customer Satisfaction:Ensure a positive and personalized car-buying experience for every customer. Promptly and professionally handle any customer issues or concerns.
- Financial Performance:Monitor sales data track key performance metrics and manage the departments budget to maximize profitability.
- Market Awareness:Stay informed of industry trends competitor activities and local market conditions to adjust strategies as needed.
- Dealer Relations:Work with the manufacturer and dealers to source and acquire the best inventory.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success as an Automotive Sales Manager or in a similar sales management role.
- Minimum of three years of experience in automotive sales and acquisitions. Ford brand strongly recommended.
- Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expert knowledge of vehicle sales dealership operations and automotive financing.
- Strong proficiency with CRM software (e.g. VIN Solutions) and inventory management tools (e.g. VAuto Kelly Blue Book etc.).
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
