You will collaborate with individuals families and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote functional skills participation and quality of life across home and community settings. Through your expertise youll help individuals build the skills and confidence needed to thrive.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Under general supervision provides developmental occupational therapy services in natural settings for children ages birth to three. Services may include but not limited to initial and on-going assessment of skills review functional needs for assistive technology develop functional and development outcomes based on parents priorities provide on-going coaching and training to caregivers in natural settings. Reports to Director of Early Intervention (Local System Manager).
- Provides developmental services in natural settings.
- Provides services in accordance to the intensity frequency and duration written on the Individual Family Service Plan ( IFSP).
- Completes documentation of services in GIHNs electronic client record in accordance with Grafton Medicaid and Part C regulations.
- Completes documentation of initial and on-going assessment in GIHNs electronic client record in accordance with Grafton Medicaid and Part C regulation.
- Provides all services using the Primary Provider Evidence Based Best Practice.
- Initiates all services within 30 days of signature of the IFSP unless there is clear and well documented evidence why that could not occur.
- Keep all family appointments unless notified otherwise by the family.
- Identifies and obtains necessary supplies and equipment.
- Maintains a regular schedule of visits to the best of their ability given family needs.
- Participates in monthly staff meetings
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provides all services in natural settings which include family homes motels daycare centers parks etc.
- May provide clinical supervision OT interns.
- Attends conferences and workshops to keep abreast of professional trends developments and techniques.
- Operates and programs a variety of augmentative communication devices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a Masters in Occupational Therapy
- Requires valid Occupational Therapy License issued by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
- Requires ability to obtain Early Intervention Professional Certificate issued by the Part C office within two weeks of start date.
- Preferred - Existing Early Intervention Professionals Certificate issued by the Part C office
- Prefer 1 year of working with children birth to age 3
- Valid drivers license.
COMPENSATION:
- $72/hour for direct billable clinical services
- $21.50/hour for non-billable time including:
- Travel time
- Documentation and paperwork
- Team meetings and required trainings
This structure allows you to be highly compensated for client care while still compensating you for the essential work that supports quality outcomes.
SCHEDULE & LOCATION:
PRN schedule must be available a minimum of 10 hours of direct service per month
- Flexible schedule to include Monday-Saturday day and evening options
- Must be able to provide service in the following Virginia areas:
- Clarke County
- Frederick County
- Page County
- Shenandoah County
- Warren County
- City of Winchester
