Pay Range -$69000to$85000 Yearly

Job Type:

Full-Time

Schedule:

  • 80 hours per pay period

  • Day shift (standard weekday schedule)

  • No weekend rotation

  • No holiday rotation

Position Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats speech language cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders. This role focuses on improving patients ability to communicate effectively and swallow safely through evidence-based assessment and intervention in a clinical healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care:

  • Perform direct patient care including assessment and treatment of speech language and swallowing disorders.

  • Conduct initial evaluations develop individualized plans of care and provide ongoing therapy services.

  • Complete progress notes discharge summaries and all required clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Care Coordination & Education:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide patient-centered care.

  • Educate healthcare staff on evaluation findings treatment recommendations and current best practices.

  • Develop and deliver in-service presentations and educational materials as needed.

Administrative & Support Duties:

  • Communicate with insurance providers regarding patient benefits as required.

  • Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions to ensure efficient workflow.

  • Provide patient reminder calls and assist patients and families in navigating the facility.

  • Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment following therapy sessions.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations.

Education Certifications & Licensure:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.

  • Eligible for Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in the practicing state.

  • Active unrestricted state Speech-Language Pathologist license required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

  • Valid current drivers license required.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of related clinical experience preferred.

  • Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting strongly preferred.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong assessment treatment planning and documentation skills.

  • Intermediate proficiency with computers and electronic documentation systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
