Job Summary
Schroeder Truck Repair is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Junior Technician to join our team. As a Junior Technician you will play a vital role in performing routine maintenance tasks and basic repairs on semi-trucks and diesel engines. With guidance from experienced technicians you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain hands-on experience in the field of semi-truck/diesel mechanics.
Responsibilities:

Independently perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes filter replacements and tire rotations.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues under the supervision of experienced technicians.

Assist in the repair and replacement of worn-out or damaged parts such as brakes belts and hoses.

Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and ensure accurate repairs.

Maintain accurate records of services provided including parts used and labor hours.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience or vocational training in semi-truck/diesel mechanics is preferred.

Solid understanding of mechanical systems and components.

Ability to independently perform routine maintenance tasks and basic repairs on semi-trucks and diesel engines.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within designated time frames.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Compensation:
The compensation for the Junior Technician position will be within the range of $25.01 - $30.00 per hour based on skills experience and performance.
