About the role
Te Pā works with a range of Rangatahi who have been released from prison and in the community. Our Rangatahi can have high and complex needs be disconnected from their culture experienced ongoing trauma homeless and have been marginalised throughout their life.Te Pā believe our Rangatahi are our future Rangatira and we strive to re-illuminate their mana so they make a positive contribution to whanau community and society.The position of the Rangatahi program Co-ordinator/Facilitator is to co-develop administer and monitor the delivery of the Te Whitinga o Te Rā programme dealing specifically with at risk Rangatahi who need support in gaining independence and seeking to achieve their full potential.RequirementsA minimum level 4 cert in Social Practice Social Services Mental Health Community Services or similar.Experience working with Māori and within a Kaupapa Māori environment.Knowledge understanding and experience working with those tamariki who most need support.Training/experience in the facilitation of tamariki programmes Sound and practical understanding and application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.Knowledge and skills for supporting the identity language and cultural needs of Māori whānau.Evidence of links with Iwi Maori and Pasifika community groups and statutory organisations.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Strong ethical boundaries.High level of planning and organisational skills coupled with the ability to adapt and be flexible.Capacity to problem solve and work independently organize own time and resources and work well within a team environment.High level of attention to detail providing and recording accurate information.Intermediate to advanced computer literacy.A current Full unrestricted New Zealand drivers license to drive a motor vehicle.DesirableFluency in Te Reo MaoriFluency in a Pasifika language and culture Benefits and cultureSupportive management and collaborative teamContribute to innovative and creative spaceEncouraged and supported in growth and developmentA fun team environmentLocationThis position will be based in Royal Oak.If you would like further information about this role please email your request to To apply for this role please submit a covering letter and your CV.If you require any accommodations during the application or interview process please let us know.
