About the Role

The Executive Finance Manager is a key member of the Aegis Health Executive Team collaborating with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and other leadership team members whilst acting as the essential link to the CEO & Corporate Office. As Executive Finance Manager you are entrusted with the responsibility for the fiscal management of Aegis Health operations at Murdoch and will augment strategic leadership covering governance performance cost management whilst maximizing optimization of resources and revenue.

Role Objectives

The key objectives of this role will include but not limited to leading development and implementation providing guidance direction informed strategic decision making and analytical reporting across the following areas:

Supporting the hospitals financial performance and sustainability including services and assets.

Budgets forecasting and hospital performance reporting.

Finance revenue patient billing policy and procedures.

System implementation and reporting processes utilizing dashboard balanced KPI measures Casemix costing and margin analysis including labour resource services and assets.

Health Funds and other funders negotiation and relations management.

Interface with the Health Information Service Manager data and reporting to WA Health and other regulators.

Risk management and business case analytics costing and lifecycle analysis for new major equipment purchases or service developments.

The interface with Corporate Service and functions of the Aegis Group.

Government and regulatory department liaison.

Assist the CMO in the performance management of key clinical SLAs for radiology pathology and hospital pharmacy services and supply.

Provide assistance to CEO in all Aegis Health activities across the Hospital Digital / IT requirements and functions in addition to property & building management matters.

Requirements of the Role

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience as a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).

Significant experience in all financial aspects of Private Hospital operations.

Demonstrated finance leadership experience in a similar private hospital role.

Advanced technical skills in management accounting with a deep understanding of private hospital specific information and analytics requirements.

Advanced relationship skills with key stakeholders including liaison with Private Health Insurance Funds and other funders.

Demonstrated experience in financial modelling cost analysis and processing of quantitative information and benchmarking.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment providing strong business acumen and strategic thinking.

Evidenced budgeting forecasting and performance reporting experience.

Knowledge of industry challenges and trends the competitive landscape hospital performance objectives and developments in mental health surgical and outpatient services.

Understanding of the regulatory environment impacting private hospital and health operations and the impact on financial planning and analysis.

Experience in business case development and analysis for supporting new capital purchases or service developments.

Familiarity with hospital patient administration systems billing systems and revenue metrics and activity-based funding models.
