DESCRIPTION:
Join Unity Lab Services a division of Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Lead Site Specialist to contribute to global science this role youll guide and support a team delivering essential laboratory support services that enable our customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer. At customer sites youll oversee daily operations including inventory management lab support services media preparation chemical handling and equipment maintenance while ensuring exceptional customer service and regulatory compliance. Youll implement improvement initiatives maintain safety standards and serve as a key liaison between Thermo Fisher Scientific and our customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
4 years of progressive experience in laboratory operations or scientific services environment
Preferred Fields of Study: Biology Chemistry or related scientific field
Experience managing small teams and supporting staff development
Strong knowledge of GxP requirements and laboratory safety protocols
Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office suite
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to write and maintain SOPs and work instructions
Experience with chemical handling media preparation and lab equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Physical ability to lift/push/pull 30-50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Willingness to wear required PPE including lab coats safety glasses etc.
Ability to work in environments with chemical allergens and varied temperatures
GMP/GLP certification preferred
IATA/DOT hazardous materials certification preferred
Ability to work flexible hours as needed
Valid drivers license with clean driving record
Travel may be required up to 85% for some positions
