ARC in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs classes and activities. As theChildcare Program Substitute it will be your responsibility to provide staffing support for ARCs licensed school-age and preschool programs at multiple locations offering a high-quality child-care experience for children ages 3-12 according to the philosophies policies and procedures of the organization. This role report to the Area Operations Supervisor.
Must demonstrate the ability to always maintain confidentiality handle personnel matters effectively and handle employee and public personnel inquiries with sensitivity tact and diplomacy. Understanding of sensitivity to and respect for the diverse populations at ARC and the community ARC serves.
Childcare Program Substituteduties and responsibilities include:
- Keep notes and observations on individual children when needed; follow child tracking and search procedures.
- Document accidents illnesses incidents and administered medications on the required forms immediately after occurrence.
- Promote and incorporate ARCs mission and vision in all duties and in the community.
- Promote an environment where individuals take pride in their cultural identities beliefs and practices and value those of their peers
Childcare Program Substituterequirements include:
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations including the Washington State Department of Children Youth and Families (DCYF) licensed programs;
- High school diploma or equivalency; BS/BA degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1-year minimum experience working with licensed school-age and preschool.
- Valid Washington State drivers license and insurance are required. Must also have a personal vehicle.
- Must be 18 years or older

Pay:
- Starting Pay:$23.00/hr (Non-exempt)
Full Pay Range: $23.00-26.45 (Over time the employee in this role may earn up to $26.45/hr with additional years of service.)
