Rolls-Royce is offering a unique opportunity for experienced Supply Chain Professional to work within the UK Civil Nuclear Programme.

Rolls-Royce together secured contracts to support the development & supply of UDG installations as part of the development of the Hinckley Point C Reactor programme working with EDF and its partners including NNB. This is an exciting programme to work closely with a cross functional team at RR and with our client on a 4-to-5-year contracted programme.

The position is primarily based at the RR Derby Site but due to the nature and locations of the Civil Nuclear Teams & Supply Chain there will be a requirement for some planned travel.

What youll be doing:

You will be reporting Supply Chain Manager and you will be responsible for preparing maintaining & summarising schedules of activities and events of projects taking account of dependencies and financial milestones.

  • Compliance with the planning cycle to produce a credible plan to meet customer demands: including inventory logistics and storage considerations.
  • Ensure pre-production activities are undertaken to ensure the system is maintained with robust & credible data that creates suitable supply plans taking actions to rectify inaccuracies.
  • Work with your supply chain to manage their orderbook/project and make balanced decisions to ensure business priorities are supported to best satisfy customer demands.
  • To carry out and input into required business and operational reviews to understand capability to deliver to demand requirements to define and manage actions to mitigate risks and issues.
  • Co-ordinate the resolution of issues with paperwork (route cards documentation & supplier docs etc.) where compliance with business regulatory and export and manage actions to mitigate risks and issues.

Position Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification. (e.g. APICS)
  • Experience of supply chain planning & control is essential.
  • Understanding and experience of managing load / capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deliveries and make balanced business decisions under challenging circumstances.
  • Able to take responsibilities for their own development.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with MRP and/or ERP systems.
  • Has the ability to influence others.

Formore than 60 years Rolls-Royce Submarines has designed supplied and supported the nuclear propulsion plant providing power for all UK Royal Navy nuclear submarines.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines an individual must hold a Security Check clearance. We will support the application for Security Clearance if you dont already have it.
