Axis Communications Americas is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Communications Specialist Public Relations to join our team.

As our Communications Specialist youll be responsible for helping to grow shape and champion our exceptional reputation and global brand. Not only will you perform your work as a member of our dynamic PR team but youll also serve as a part of a larger integrated marketing department--using your unique talents to work collaboratively with a variety of marketing professionals in order to meet organizational objectives.

Our Communications Specialists core responsibilities focus on helping to manage communications and maintain relations with key audiences--internal and external--including customers partners journalists analysts and employees.

Related responsibilities include:

Managing the Axis Americas online newsroom

Developing press releases news posts and related content

Preparing press kits and other information for the media

Creating and distributing content on our social media channels

Responding to external information requests in a timely and professional manner

Liaising with the broader marketing organization to facilitate content and execute cross-functional projects

Supporting conferences tradeshows and press events

Developing briefing documents Q&As and message houses

Effectively pitching stories ideas and content

Working with our subject matter experts and our stable of freelance writers to develop content for byline opportunities

Coordinating media opportunities for our spokespeople and subject matter experts

Assisting with advertising and promotion programs

Working in collaboration with our PR agency and their staff to execute on strategies and plans

Tracking and analyzing media coverage and newsroom activity in order to inform future efforts

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in public relations journalism or marketing communications

- 5 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications

- Solid understanding of todays media environment

- Top-notch copy writing and editing skills

- Exceptional interpersonal skills

- Excellent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness

- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

- Proven ability to develop implement and execute campaigns
