Performs a variety of specialized support functions as well as nursing assistant duties. Essential functions include managing nursing assistants in their day-to-day operations maintaining infection control standards assisting with patient transport and positioning and maintaining related supply levels within the operating room. Other supervisory responsibilities will include team member schedule preparation tracking educational requirements and performing coaching and corrective action as needed. May have access to areas where medications are stored and/or prepared for purposes of fulfilling job duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Experience in the surgical setting with demonstrated leadership ability or past management experience preferred

- Ability to work independently and use problem solving skill
- Ability to complete OR Nursing Assistant job requirements and functions
- Ability to work under stressful and changing situations
- Unit and annual competencies to be completed each year.
- Annual education required per hospital certification(s).
- Regulatory requirements for accreditation.
