Position Summary

Provides virtual geriatric outpatient psychiatric services including but not limited to consultation evaluation medication management and follow-up. Supports various clinical teams which could include clinicians integrated mental health therapists peer support specialists collaborative care teams primary care providers allied support staff and others. If working in the psychiatric consultant role will advise the primary care providers on appropriate medications and other treatment strategies also providing the care team with educational support on diagnosing and managing behavioral health telehealth psychiatric evaluations medication management and follow-up for scheduled or standby and receives effective consultation internally and externally to coordinate patient care all required documentation within timeframes specified in the MultiCare Health System Ambulatory Electronic Health Record Completion a positive attitude and efforts toward meeting the needs of internal and external English effectively to send and receive messages oral and written in a clear positive prompt and appropriate and In-person when required attends and participates in team meetings and other agency meetings as back-up coverage for absent medical staff as regularly scheduled caseload consultation to Integrated Mental Health Therapist. Works with Integrated Mental Health Therapist to oversee the status and population health of their assigned patient caseload. Requires adherence to practice standards agency standards contracts and Washington Administrative supervise graduate medical students virtually (nurse practitioner students residents).Expert knowledge of psychotropic medications 65 and older. Experience in community mental to effectively partner with severely and persistently mentally ill patients. Basic computer and keyboard skills. Excellent assessment evaluation and clinical skills. Requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods. Requires the willingness and ability to work varied hours when necessary. Demonstrate effective de-escalation skills. RequirementsMeets state of Washington licensure requirements by the time of Reg Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority license - Washington Department of Health. American Nurses Credentialing Center Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Across the Lifespan) Certification (PMHNP-BC) or if one of the following active certifications (available for renewal only). Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification (PMHNP-BC)Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification (PMHCNS-BC)Child/Adolescent Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification (PMHCNS-BC)Experience (3-5 years) providing geriatric psychiatry services. Current Health Care Provider level BLS certification such as American Heart Association or American Red NPI & prescriptive authority.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package including competitive salary medical dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $132600.00 - $142630.00 USD. However pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants including but not limited to: skill set level of experience and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicants years of experience align.
