Description

As a key leader at WMs Moreno Valley Transfer Station and Construction & Demolition Facility the Material Recovery & Transfer Station (MRF) Manager drives operational excellence by ensuring a safe efficient and highperforming facility grounded in our Mission to Zero standards. This role provides strong people leadership by selecting developing coaching and empowering employees to build an engaged safetyfocused highperforming overseeing all daytoday operations the manager optimizes throughput reduces turnaround times and manages costs all while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. With a commitment to service innovation and environmental responsibility the MRF Manager II plays an essential role in delivering reliable sustainable operations that reflect WMs core values and support exceptional customer service.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensures smooth operation of site including gatehouse sorting loading.

Minimizes handling and operational costs.

Continually it works to reduce turnaround time for trucks in and out of sight.

Regularly proposes means of operational improvement.

Acts as a liaison were necessary for community relationships.

Complies with and ensures adherence to WMs Mission to Zero standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.

Submits reasonable budget information and analyzes data versus year-to-date data and prior year budget.

Assists in creating a positive team-oriented environment through employee development and motivation.

Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property of the MRF through inspections and preventive maintenance programs with supervisors/employees.

Oversee personnel needs of the Transfer Station including selecting coaching and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination compensation and promotion decisions.

Conducts and/or attends and contributes to periodic safety meetings.

Provides training and presentations as needed in a positive and professional manner.

Updates and submits required reports in a timely manner.

III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree (accredited) in Industrial Engineering or similar area of study or in lieu of degree

High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience

7 years of previous work experience (in addition to education requirements).

B. Preferred Qualifications

Waste Industry Recycling or Material Recovery experience preferred

The expected base pay range for this office/on-site position is $100050 - 127535. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates relevant experience education training certifications qualifications and work addition this position is eligible for incentive pay.
