Role description:

The Senior Health & Safety Manager will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert responsible for leading all aspects of health safety and wellbeing across a diverse range of projects. You will work closely with clients stakeholders internal multi-disciplinary teams and contractors to ensure safe compliant and sustainable project delivery.

Role accountabilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of project-wide Health & Safety strategies systems and standards.
• Act as the primary H&S advisor to clients project leadership and delivery teams.
• Oversee risk assessments incident investigations and behavioural safety programmes.
• Coordinate and monitor safety performance of contractors.
• Provide expert guidance on CDM Regulations.
• Lead audits inspections and assurance activities.
• Develop safety training and capabilitybuilding initiatives.
• Maintain project H&S risk registers.
• Represent Arcadis at senior-level meetings.
• Promote digital tools and data insights to improve safety performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
• IOSH-accredited experience as Planning Supervisor Design Process (PSDP).
• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Chartered membership or equivalent.
• Extensive senior H&S experience in relevant sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation.
• Demonstrable experience leading safety on major programmes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
