About the Role
As a Travel Surgical Registered Nurse you will deliver high-quality perioperative and post-operative nursing care across regional NSW hospitals. Youll support patients throughout the surgical journey manage post-op recovery and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in surgical and mixed medical-surgical wards.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative nursing care
- Monitor and manage post-surgical patients including pain management
- Perform wound care drains and post-operative assessments
- Administer medications IV therapy and blood products
- Recognise and escalate deteriorating patients using clinical pathways
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with NSW Health policies

What youll need
- Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse Division 1)
- Minimum 1 years recent Surgical or Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Strong post-operative assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Current working rights in Australia (urgent non-sponsorship role)
