Job Purpose:
Seigo Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer (Water) to lead and manage water infrastructure projects in the Johannesburg region. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong technical background excellent project management skills and proven experience in water and wastewater systems. The candidate must be registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the planning design and execution of water infrastructure projects including water supply wastewater treatment and stormwater management.
Oversee engineering teams sub-consultants and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
Perform technical reviews and approve design calculations drawings and specifications.
Ensure compliance with national and local legislation design codes and industry best practices.
Prepare project proposals reports and technical documentation for clients and stakeholders.
Conduct site visits inspections and progress reviews to monitor construction activities.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
Liaise with clients government bodies and regulatory authorities.
Support business development by identifying new opportunities and contributing to tenders and proposals.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or equivalent). A Masters Degree in Water Engineering or related field is advantageous.
Professional Registration: Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) mandatory.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years experience in civil engineering with at least 5 years in water-related projects (e.g. bulk water supply pipelines treatment works).
Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in design and analysis software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D EPANET WaterCAD and MS Project.
Drivers Licence: Valid South African drivers license and own transport.
Location: Based in Johannesburg or willing to relocate at own cost.
