About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Special Educator to support students with diverse learning needs and ensure inclusive educational practices across classrooms. The role involves working closely with teachers counsellors parents and leadership to design and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) in alignment with IB / Cambridge / CBSE / NEP 2020 inclusive education guidelines.
Student Support & Intervention
Identify students with special educational needs (SEN) through screening and referrals.
Develop implement and review Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
Provide remedial pull-out and in-class support as required.
Track student progress and maintain detailed intervention records.
Collaboration & Classroom Support
Work closely with subject teachers to adapt curriculum assessments and teaching strategies.
Recommend classroom accommodations and differentiation strategies.
Support inclusive classroom practices and co-teaching models.
Assessments & Documentation
Conduct educational assessments and prepare reports.
Maintain documentation in line with school board and statutory requirements.
Participate in case reviews student support meetings and parent conferences.
Parent & Teacher Engagement
Counsel parents on learning challenges and progress strategies.
Conduct teacher orientation sessions on inclusive education practices.
Act as a bridge between school parents and external professionals when required.
Compliance & Safeguarding
Follow child safeguarding confidentiality and ethical practices.
Align interventions with IB Cambridge CBSE NEP 2020 and school inclusion policies.
Bachelors / Masters Degree in Special Education
Certification from RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India)
Specialisation in:
Learning Disabilities
Intellectual Disability
Autism Spectrum Disorder (preferred)
Experience working in IB/CBSE / inclusive schools preferred
Strong understanding of NEP 2020 inclusive education framework
Patient empathetic and student-centric approach
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
