Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IBM Sterling MFT Engineer to design develop and deploy secure file transfer solutions within the banking domain. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders configuring and customizing IBM Sterling MFT suite implementing secure protocols troubleshooting production issues and maintaining the MFT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and deploy file transfer solutions using the IBM Sterling MFT suite including configuration customization and integration with existing systems.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for file transfer workflows.
Implement secure file transfer protocols (FTP SFTP FTPS AS2 HTTPS) and encryption standards to protect sensitive data in transit.
Perform troubleshooting debugging and performance tuning of file transfer processes to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
Conduct regular maintenance upgrades and patching of IBM Sterling MFT infrastructure to align with evolving business needs.
Develop technical documentation including design documents operational procedures and specifications to support deployment and operations.
Stay updated on industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in file transfer management recommending and implementing continuous improvements.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a banking and IT environment.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
Proven experience designing developing and implementing solutions using IBM Sterling MFT suite.
Proficiency in IBM Sterling Control Center Secure Proxy File Gateway and External Authentication Server (EAS).
Strong understanding of file transfer protocols (FTP SFTP FTPS AS2 HTTPS) and encryption standards/algorithms.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Shell Perl or Python for workflow automation and customization.
Familiarity with banking industry regulations and compliance requirements for file transfer security and data protection.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred / Optional Skills:
Experience with automation tools or monitoring solutions for file transfer environments.
Exposure to cloud-based MFT deployments or hybrid architectures.
Knowledge of DevOps pipelines for deployment and continuous integration.

Directly support line of business development teams provide guidance to them on implementation and changes for customer facing applications Develop and maintain security protocols and measures to protect CDN infrastructure from cyber threats. Monitor and analyze network performance identifying and resolving issues to optimize content delivery of critical applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Akamai CDN solutions with existing systems and applications. Collaborate with information security teams to implement DDoS protection strategies and other security measures in the CDN. Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams regarding CDN and security best practices. Work closely with vendor and professional service teams on delivery related activities and strategy. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. OR similar work experience. Strong understanding of network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS DNS TCP/IP). Proven experience as a CDN Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on -depth knowledge of Content Delivery Network technologies including caching load balancing and content optimization. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience supporting 24/7/365 customer facing applications at enterprise scale. Awareness and experience with cybersecurity tools and practices such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and encryption.
