The NC Department of Military & Veterans Affairs / Veterans Affairs Division in accordance with Chapter 143 General Statues of North Carolina assists Veterans their families and their dependents in obtaining or maintaining privileges rights and benefits to which they are entitled under Federal State or Local laws.

The NC Department of Military & Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is tasked with 23 specific functions that involve working with federal state local regional and industry partners to support activities at North Carolina military installations and improve economic outcomes and the quality of life for our military and veteran communities.
The Regional Manager position is responsible for managing the activities of the Region 2 Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Service Center. It will direct and coordinate training programs for State and County Service Officers. Work with DMVA executive staff and Field Operations Manager in developing policies and procedures that will ensure compliance with State and Federal laws regulations and guidelines. This position will also Identify budget and staffing needs in administration of Staff Development and Training. The Regional Manager will use its knowledge of State and Federal laws to assist in the application of veterans benefits. Position manages a staff of 5 including Veterans Service Officers and office support staff. Position works closely with other State and County Veterans Offices to provide training and other assistance. Work is performed in an office environment using MS Office and other software relevant to the position.

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelors degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience related to the area of assignment or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
