This job is responsible for assisting with patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse; performs data entry unit secretarial functions and equipment processing.

• Direct Patient Care: Provides comprehensive personal care hygiene and comfort to patients assisting with daily needs and preparing them for procedures.
• Clinical Support & Documentation: Monitors and reports patient conditions collects and transports samples and accurately documents clinical activities within the scope of practice.
• Environmental & Supply Management: Maintains a clean organized and stocked work environment manages equipment and ensures proper supplies and forms are available.
• Ensures a safe patient and work environment by strictly adhering to safety protocols infection control and regulatory standards while actively participating in emergency preparedness.
• Manages comprehensive administrative and communication duties including reception scheduling dispatch patient orientation and coordination of services to ensure smooth unit operations and support for patients staff and visitors.
• Performs vital unit support activities including record management data entry administrative tasks and charge reconciliation ensuring efficient operation and adherence to procedures especially during system downtime.

• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or Military Medical Specialty training
• Certified Nursing Assistant license: WA State
• Basic Life Support - CPR through the American Heart Association

Preferred

• Six months related work experience
• Experience in a hospital setting
• Experience in a specialty unit. Preference is given towards applicants with experience as both a Certified Nursing Assistant and Unit Coordinator.
