Fullscript is currently looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer who wants to build a platform to create rich stable and compelling experiences for our practitioners. Our team cares about doing things well and about the developer experience on the team. We host in-house training on all sorts of topics from React all the way through to Kubernetes. What youll do
- Plan out solution designs and release strategies in collaboration with other engineering teams and stakeholders
- Implement the core business logic of our practitioner workflows to deliver care to their patients
- Build and maintain integrations with internal and external data providers to power our clinical decision support tools
- Build and maintain our GraphQL layer
- Solve performance issues
- Contribute to technical improvements develop and maintain quality standards
- Code review and mentorship
What you bring to the table
- You are a passionate software engineer who cares about your craft. You are excited to learn lead projects and want to produce the best work possible.
- Experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails
- You write tests and understand their value
- A desire to learn and being open to feedback
- Understanding of design patterns and clean code
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior engineers
Bonus if you have
- Experience scaling or working on high-scale web applications
- Past experience working in e-commerce or health-tech sector
- Youve worked with React or GraphQL in the past

Compensation range
The salary range for this role is between $125000 and $165000 CAD. Fullscript shares salary ranges to support transparency and help candidates make informed decisions. The range shown reflects base salary only and does not include stock options wellness stipends or other benefits that are part of Fullscripts total rewards package.
Final compensation depends on experience skills and location. We review pay regularly to stay aligned with market data and internal equity. Benefits and total rewards may vary by region.
