We are searching for a skilled Financial Analyst with a strong foundation in Business Data and Technology Innovation to join our dynamic team. A crucial responsibility will be producing insightful reports that inform executive decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting and Compliance

  • Tax Prep & Support: (1) Provide a template for books that will support improved/efficient tax reporting. (2) Support the updated corporate structure to ensure an optimized tax and employee compensation structure for exit. Deploy tax optimization strategies to achieve the target EBIDTA.
  • Ensure accurate transaction posting in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Prepare and present financial dashboards and weekly channel performance reports to help leaders assess the businesss performance.
  • Generate Review and discussmanagement reportshighlighting key financial trends and opportunities.
  • Support strategic planning withdata-driven financial insights.
  • Profitability Analysis by Product & Channel
  • Analyze revenue cost and margin performanceacross products sales channels and departments.
  • Identifytop-performingandlow-performingproducts to guide marketing and pricing strategies.
  • Monitor financial KPIsto assess business performance.
  • Providecost-benefit analysisfor new investments hiring or business expansion.
  • Work withoperations marketing & sales teamsto align financial goals with business objectives.


Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

  • Develop Financial Forecasts: Create 1-year 3-year and 5-year financial forecasts aligned with growth goals and exit objectives using various scenarios.
  • Revenue and Expense Modeling: Build models that project revenue and identify major expense drivers allowing the company to assess profitability and scalability.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Define track and report KPIs relevant to growth (e.g. gross margin cash flow EBITDA) and perform regular variance analysis against budget.
  • Develop and maintain thecompanys annual budgetby department and function.
  • Track actual financial performance against budgeted numbers.
  • Work with department heads to establishrealistic financial goals and projections.
  • Review revise and update budgets based onreal-time business performance.

Cash Flow Management and Optimization

  • Trackdaily weekly and monthlycash inflows and outflows.
  • Ensure the company maintainshealthy liquidityfor operations.
  • Forecasting & Future Cash Need
  • Develop financial forecastsfor expected revenue costs and expenses.
  • Predict futurecash flow challengesand recommend action plans.
  • Ensureadequate working capitalis available for smooth operations.
  • Managing Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Overseetimely payment of invoices and vendor contractsto maintain supplier relationships.
  • Work with accounting tooptimize receivables collectionand reduce outstanding balances.

Cost Management and Process Optimization

  • Reviews and approves all POs and pays all bills under $200.
  • Ensurecost controland resource allocation align with business priorities.
  • Analyze variancesbetween budgeted vs. actual expenses andidentify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly variance reportsand recommend corrective actions to management.
  • Work with vendors to renegotiate better terms to reduce COGS.
  • Track and benchmark operational expenses to industry standards.
  • Review all fixed and variable expenses and propose ways to reduce unnecessary costs.
  • Identify opportunities for automation in financial tracking and reporting.
  • Work with the accounting team to simplify and optimize financial workflows.
  • Approvesall new vendor setups to prevent unauthorized edits in QBO.


Supporting Business Decision-Making

  • Assess thefinancial viability of expansioninto new markets stores distribution or product lines.
  • ProvideROI projectionsfor major business initiatives.
  • Work withlenders & investorsto explore financing options if needed.
  • Prepare financial reports and models tosupport funding applications.
  • Analyze product pricing structuresto maximize revenue.
  • Assess market trends and competitors to ensurecompetitive pricing.

Compliance Risk Management & Audit

  • Ensure compliance withfinancial regulations and tax laws.
  • Identifyfinancial risksand develop mitigation plans.
  • Work with external auditors toensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintainclean financial recordsfor tax and regulatory purposes.
  • Collaborate with CPA tooptimize tax strategies.
  • Ensure all tax filings areaccurate and on time.

Collaboration with Other Departments

  • Aligninventory purchases with cash flow projections.
  • Ensure smoothprocurement planningwithout excess costs.
  • Providebudget and financial supportfor campaigns and product launches.
  • Help trackcustomer acquisition costs (CAC)and marketing ROI.


EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelors degree in business finance accounting marketing or related analytical field. Advanced degree a huge plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets: You should be comfortable working with spreadsheets formulas pivot tables and data manipulation techniques.
  • Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such asExcel SQL Python R Tableau Power BI or similar platforms is a plus.
  • A passion for innovation and a desire to stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.
  • You should be able to approach complex data challenges with creative and practical solutions.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau Power BI or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills to convey data insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet multiple deadlines as well as take on projects independently or work collaboratively well.
  • close attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to take charge set objectives and drive results.
  • Must have excellent Internet connection working laptop and ability to adjust work hours to Central Standard Time (Between 9 am and 5 pm Central Standard Time).
