Work Based Learning Coordinator-Grant Funded

Within our program ages 18-21 year old transition students

This is a grant funded positon from March 2026-June 30 2026

Qualifications

• The candidate should have experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder Intellectual Disabilities and other severe learning disabilities
• The candidate should be familiar with planning for Community-based Instruction and the development of work plans and functional goals
• NJ teacher certification as a Teacher of the Handicapped or dual certification Teacher of Student with Disabilities certificate and content area certificate
• Completion of New Jersey Work-Based Learning Program Certification (formerly known as Structured Learning Experiences) through NJ Safe Schools (preferred)
• Excellent communication organization and record keeping skills
• Minimum of three years teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between community/agency/service providers to plan weekly community-based instruction locations and learning goals
• Plan develop and oversee the development of transitional plans and Work-Based Learning experiences (formerly known as Structured Learning Experiences) in accordance with NJ Work-based Learning Guidelines and NJ Safe Schools
• Assist in the preparation of the transition planning section of the IEP

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee must demonstrate physical strength agility and energy to perform essential job functions and to ensure health welfare and safety of all students and of self. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by the employee to perform the essential functions of the job: sitting standing reaching walking lifting bending crouching kneeling climbing pushing pulling finger dexterity carrying repetitive motions speaking listening and visual acuity. The employee must lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds.

Salary: Step 1 $75663.00

Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status

Must be a NJ resident within one year from the date of hire.
