JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Supply Inspection Technologist.

Reporting to the Supervisor Supply Inspection this position is responsible for conducting source surveillance activities at supplier locations including sub-tier suppliers. Surveillance/inspection programs are key to the overall effort of achieving and maintaining excellence in operational performance and equipment reliability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Perform source surveillance and receiving inspection activities on manufacturers to ensure vendor compliance with contract specifications and assess trends.
  • Review evaluate and contribute to the preparation of Source Surveillance or Receiving Inspection plans.
  • Perform Source Surveillance product verification recommend modifications and witness tests at Suppliers to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Assess vendors quality programs influence corrective actions for non-conformances and participate in quality audits.
  • Verify regulatory approvals for engineered products and equipment.
  • Perform receiving inspection of equipment and material at the nuclear site ensuring compliance with contract specifications and record inspection results.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School plus two to three years of concentrated study in a relevant engineering technology field.
  • Have at least 3 years of related working experience as a supply inspection technologist
  • Experience or knowledge in quality assurance practices including inspection auditing and compliance verification.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and approval processes for engineered products and equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess vendor programs recommend corrective actions and evaluate compliance.
  • Ability to prepare and review technical inspection plans conduct product verification and document inspection results accurately
  • ASME NQA-1 qualified Receiving Inspector and Source Surveillance Inspector is an asset.
