We are seeking reliable and motivated Freight Handlers to support our clients freight acceptance and forwarding operations. This casual position offers the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced safety-conscious team ensuring the smooth processing of air freight at Adelaide Airport. The successfull candidate/s will be required to apply to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) which will require the applicant to pass a security check;this cost will be covered.

Key responsibilities:

• Accepting and security clearingall freight in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Scan inbound and outbound freight consignments accurately
• Conduct GSE checklist procedures
• Calculate and collect monies for cash consignments
• Ensure accurate documentation and filing compliance
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally
• Deliver and collect freight airside to and from the Freight Acceptance Area

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in freight handling database use customer service and forklift operation
• Availability to workshift work weekends and at times public holidays when required
• High risk forklift ticket and a current Australian drivers licence
• Australian Residency Citizenship or a Visa with unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
• Ability to work well in a busy airport environment remaining calm under pressure
