Job Summary
Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Elmhurst NY
Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule & Compensation
Shift: Night Shift
Hours: 12:00 AM 8:00 AM
Weekly Hours: 35 hours (5 days/week)
Gross Weekly Pay: $2434
W2 Rate: $20/hour
Weekly Stipend: $1785
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to support a high-volume acute care radiology department. This role requires strong technical skills attention to patient safety and the ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining high imaging quality standards.
Responsibilities
Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
Ensure patient safety comfort and proper screening prior to MRI procedures
Operate MRI equipment and associated imaging systems efficiently
Accurately document procedures and patient information within the electronic medical record
Collaborate with radiologists nurses and other healthcare professionals
Maintain compliance with regulatory safety and infection control guidelines
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in an acute care or hospital setting
Associates Degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist License
ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT certification
Ability to work night shifts alternating weekends and holidays
Willingness to attend two weeks of onsite training (daytime hours including EMR training)
In-person interview required
Preferred Qualifications
BLS certification (AHA preferred)
Previous experience in a hospital-based radiology department.
