As a Diagnostics Solutions Expert - Core Lab you will act as the commercial and applications champion for our portfolio. You will drive sustainable sales growth while providing expert technical training to our customers and partners. By joining our team in Porto you will help co-create innovative laboratory solutions that directly impact patient care in the North of Portugal.

The Opportunity

In this technical-commercial role you will promote Roche solutions at the laboratory level in the assigned accounts and carry out with high technical and scientific competence the installation training and support of the systems and/or Roche products guaranteeing outstanding customer experience.

Your key priorities will include:

  • Driving Growth: Identify sales opportunities within current accounts to secure revenue targets and demonstrate the clinical value of the Roche portfolio.

  • Strategic Planning: Implement long-term strategic plans for assigned accounts using data analysis to maximize market penetration.

  • Tender Support: Provide technical content for tenders and deliver up-to-date clinical information through customer presentations and training.

  • Application Excellence: Maintain high technical competence staying updated with scientific developments delivering best-in-class application training support to deliver best-in-class support and consulting that meets specific customer requirements and supporting commercial objectives.

  • Solution Implementation: Prepare install configure and parameterize Roche solutions ensuring seamless software updates and application problem-solving.

  • Market Expansion: Expand our footprint through close collaboration with internal teams while ensuring full regulatory and ethical compliance.

  • Relationship Building: Establish long-term partnerships with customers to foster co-creation and business sustainability.

Who you are:

You are a proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative agile environment and is passionate about delivering excellence ensuring the customer journey is technically outstanding. Your excellent interpersonal skills enable you to develop long-term trusting relationships both within and outside the organization. You are a passionate and enthusiastic individual with strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrating a growth mindset you proactively seek constant learning and development opportunities. You are comfortable taking risks and experimenting with new approaches thriving in an agile environment where you work in cross-functional teams and find inspiration in the success of others.

It is required that you possess:

  • Education & Experience: Masters degree in engineering (or equivalent) or technical subjects with consolidated experience in IVD sales and technical application support.

  • Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to up-sell and cross-sell within a competitive market while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and exploiting the full commercial potential of the installed base and new opportunities. You show expertise for after-sales support and operations continuity.

  • Problem Solver: Strong decision-making skills with a growth mindset and the agility to experiment with new technical approaches.

  • Communication Skills: You are a strong communicator fluent in English and Portuguese with the ability to effectively communicate and present complex information to diverse audiences.

  • Residency: Currently residing in the Porto district (or Northern Portugal region).
