Function:
Intern/Co-op1. Serves as a technical resource and project lead for repairs and installation of plant equipment including piping systems valves pumps compressors and turbines.
2. Manages projects to completion working with multidisciplinary teams gathering technical information performing engineering calculations and presenting project results and recommendations.
3. Develops reviews & updates site maintenance and mechanical integrity procedures to improve plant reliability and process safety.
4. Conducts mechanical failure analyses & reports on findings to avoid recurrence
Plant Engineers with day-to-day tasks.
Successful incumbents will have:
1. Must be a current college student enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering program at an ABETaccredited institution.
2. Previous co-op or intern experience is preferred.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Ability to make verbal and written presentations to communicate ideas effectively.
5. Expected to effectively communicate with outside vendors and contractors.
6. Become knowledgeable in the plant processes plant specifications and materials of construction.
7. Commitment to fulfil a summer internship or 7-8 month co-op assignment.
