The Role
As an Azure Architect with Presidio will design implement and oversee cloud-based solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure. This role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in cloud architecture to guide infrastructure modernization application migration and operational optimization in alignment with business goals. The Azure Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability security and efficiency of Azure-based systems while staying current with emerging cloud technologies.

Travel Requirements:

This role will provide onsite support to the client 5 days a week.

Responsibilities Include:

• Cloud Architecture Design: Develop maintain and document comprehensiveAzurecloud architecture strategies ensuring scalability reliability and security.
• Solution Implementation: Lead the deployment and configuration ofAzure-based solutions including virtual networks virtual machines containers storage and application services.
• Migration Planning: Design and execute migration plans for transitioning legacy systems and applications toAzure minimizing downtime and disruption.
• Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g. ISO 27001 GDPR).
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance reliability and cost-efficiency ofAzureresources.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers DevOps teams and IT leadership to alignAzureimplementations with project requirements and organizational objectives.
• Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts for resource provisioning configuration management and deployment using tools like PowerShell Terraform orAzureCLI.
• Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup disaster recovery and business continuity solutions withinAzure.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of architectures configurations and processes to support ongoing maintenance and scalability.
• Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to internal teams onAzurebest practices and new developments.
  

Required Skills and Professional Experience:

• Bachelors degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience. Masters degree preferred.
• 7 years of IT experience with at least 3 years focused onAzurecloud architecture and solutions.
• Proven experience in cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Strong background in infrastructure design networking and security.
• Microsoft Certified:AzureSolutions Architect Expert (required).
• Proficiency inAzureservices such asAzureADAzureKubernetes Service (AKS)AzureFunctionsAzureSQL andAzureDevOps.
• Strong scripting skills with PowerShell Python or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform Bicep or ARM templates.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
