The opportunity

As a Software Engineer II you will develop products at the forefront of reshaping the entire logistics and supply chain industry. Youll work alongside self-starters interested in solving real-world problems and streamlining inefficiencies in complex global systems.

You will

• Build & Scale: Develop highly available secure distributed systems within a microservice architecture.
• Model Reality: Design and maintain systems that represent real-world logistics entities such as shipments cargo containers pallets SKUs and global trade documents.
• Collaborate: Work closely with business partners product managers and operations teams to distill complex business problems into elegant technical solutions.
• Ship Rapidly: Join a close-knit engineering team that ships to production dozens of times per day.
• Own Quality: Obsess over metrics and high-quality bars applying key learnings from post-mortems to ensure system reliability.

You should have

• Experience: 3 years of professional software development experience with a strong engineering background.
• Architecture: 2 years of experience in system design and architecture including familiarity with OOA/OOD and design patterns.
• Technical Breadth: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g. Java Kotlin Ruby Python TypeScript or C).
• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Mindset: A bias for actionwhen you see a problem you solve itand an aptitude for learning quickly.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience building large-scale high-performance systems in a multi-tiered distributed environment.
• Understanding of performance tradeoffs load balancing and operational issues.
• A love for simple well-tested code that is easy to extend and hard to break.
• The ability to convey technical ideas in common terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Interview Process: You will go through a standardized interview process.
• Team Placement: Specific team matching (e.g. Import Omnichannel Fulfillment Forwarding App Cost Capture Freight Ops etc) will be determined at the end of the interview process based on your skills interests and the current high-priority needs of our business.
• Location: This role is based in Bellevue WA and requires in-person attendance 5 days a week.
