Job Summary
Job Title: 1st Class 6G TIG / Flux Core Pipe Welder Day Shift
Location: Houma Louisiana
Position Type: Full-Time Day Shift
Position Summary
We are currently seeking experienced 1st Class 6G TIG / Flux Core Pipe Welders for outside new construction projects in Houma LA. This role requires performing high-quality welds on carbon steel and stainless steel pipe using TIG and Flux Core processes. Candidates must be able to read and interpret technical drawings fabricate and weld pipe spools to specification and consistently meet strict quality and safety standards.
Applicants must be available to work 4050 hours per week and successfully complete a hands-on welding test and supervisor interview.
Key Responsibilities
Perform 6G welding using TIG and Flux Core processes
Weld carbon steel and stainless steel pipe
Complete spool fabrication fitting and layout per project drawings
Ensure all welds meet required quality strength and integrity standards
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Maintain a clean safe and organized work area
Must-Have Requirements
Minimum 3 years of 6G TIG / Flux Core pipe welding experience
Proven ability to perform 6G welds on carbon steel and stainless steel
Ability to pass a 6G MIG and Flux Core weld test on 2-inch pipe
Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
Own all required pipe welding tools
Reliable transportation
Willingness to work 4050 hours per week
Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Industrial or fabrication shop pipe welding experience
Experience in new construction environments
Knowledge of pipe welding safety standards and procedures
Experience working in both indoor and outdoor settings

How many years of 6G TIG and Flux Core pipe welding experience do you have
Have you welded both carbon steel and stainless steel pipe in the 6G position
