This is a unique opportunity to join a newly launched program and play a meaningful role in shaping its clinical culture treatment model and interdisciplinary collaboration from the ground up.The RoleAs a Clinical Child/Adolescent Psychologist on the Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit you will serve as a core member of the inpatient multidisciplinary team contributing clinical expertise across assessment treatment planning therapy and milieu support.Key responsibilities include:- Serving as a primary clinician providing diagnostic assessments individual therapy and family consultation for adolescents ages 1218.
- Participating in comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluations and contributing to collaboratively developed treatment plans.
- Providing individual group and/or family therapy with models of care emphasizing family-based developmentally informed approaches.
- Supporting milieu staff through consultation and guidance on the implementation of therapeutic programming.
- Treating adolescents presenting with a wide range of concerns including depression anxiety PTSD/trauma ADHD self-harm behaviors and other internalizing and externalizing disorders.
- Focusing on behavioral stabilization while building coping skills emotional regulation and reducing risk for rehospitalization.
- Collaborating closely with psychiatry nursing social work and allied health professionals to deliver integrated patient-centered care.
This position is available on a full- or part-time basis.What Were Looking ForWe are seeking a psychologist who is clinically grounded team-oriented and energized by inpatient adolescent work.Qualifications include:- PhD or PsyD with clinical internship from APA-accredited programs.
- Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Rhode Island.
- Postdoctoral experience in acute or inpatient adolescent settings is strongly encouraged.
- A collaborative professional style and strong interest in treating adolescents with complex psychosocial and diagnostic presentations.
- Comfort working in high-acuity settings that require flexibility clinical judgment and close interdisciplinary coordination.
