Roles and Responsibilities
Contribute to process development:Assist in providing engineering support for the qualification and industrialization of advanced repair and inspection technologies helping to improved and deploy updated processes to our repair facilities.
Develop problem-solving skills:Support senior engineers in analyzing and resolving Repair Non-Conformance Notifications (NCNs) learning to diagnose technical issues and ensure high-quality repair outcomes.
Learn about quality assurance:Help maintain and manage repair qualifications for service centers gaining exposure to critical compliance and quality control processes.
Participate in continuous improvement:Actively engage in Kaizen (continuous improvement) initiatives within our service centers applying methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Cultivate analytical expertise:Join and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to understand and address quality and process issues developing your analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Support technical documentation:Assist in maintaining and updating Repair Engineering Instructions (REIs) learning the importance of clear technical communication and process control.
Provide foundational engineering support:Contribute to daily engineering tasks that maintain operational excellence across our global service centers.
Collaborate on global projects:Work alongside AMRT development teams in Greenville Warsaw and Singapore supporting the deployment of new repair technologies and contributing to upgrade modifications for gas turbine components.
Engage in knowledge sharing:Learn and contribute to best practices and lessons learned with AMRT engineers globally fostering consistency and continuous improvement across our operations.
Gain global exposure:Expect occasional travel (5-10%) to global engineering centers and service centers in the Americas Region providing valuable insights into our worldwide operations and diverse teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in gas turbine engineering).
3 years of gas turbine design experience.
Ability and willingness to travel to global GEV facilities (5%)
Desired Characteristics
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Materials Science Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field.
Repair and/or services experience.
Strong foundational knowledge in engineering principles materials and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with part and assembly level qualifications.
Relevant internship experience or participation in engineering projects (e.g. capstone projects research student organizations) is highly valued.
Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative setting.
Demonstrated problem solving skills a strong mechanical aptitude in a manufacturing gas turbines/supply chain/engineering environment knowledge of any special processes (i.e. brazing welding coating automation inspection and tooling design and manufacturing.)
