Job Summary

Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $57$61 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 3 shifts per week every other weekend and some holidays required

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to provide high-acuity care to critically ill pediatric patients in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise independent decision-making abilities and the capability to deliver specialized care during night shifts with minimal orientation and supervision.

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
Perform detailed nursing assessments in a high-acuity PICU environment.
Monitor patient conditions vital signs and responses to treatment.
Administer medications IV therapies and prescribed treatments.
Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
Accurately document patient care in electronic medical records.
Respond promptly and appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
Ensure adherence to hospital policies safety standards and infection control practices.
Provide compassionate family-centered care.

Required Qualifications:

Licensure & Certifications:

Current and active New York State RN license.
BLS certification (current or eligible for recertification).

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of recent PICU experience within the past 2 years.
Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center required.
Travelers considered if experienced in equivalent or higher-level trauma facilities.
EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
